Nasci, vivo e trabalho em Portugal.
Estudei pintura, desenho e gravura na faculdade de belas artes de Lisboa e no Ar.co, centro de arte e comunicação visual. Estudei Shiatsu com Gill Hall, Paul Lundberg e Mercedes Nunez . Tenho trabalhado com desenho, gravura, ilustração, educação e Shiatsu.
No meu trabalho interessa-me a passagem de um estado a outro, o processo a metamorfose, os limites entre o fazer e o desfazer. A gravura foi essencial no desenvolvimento do meu trabalho pois funciona como um cozinhado processual em que a corrusão (o desfazer de uma material) dá forma a um desenho, a tinta é depositada no espaço onde já não há materia. A temporização é também essencial neste processo, desenha-se com a ajuda do tempo, o tempo da corrusão, é necessário abrir espaço suficiente para a tinta mas não demais ou a materia dissolve-se.
Ao imprimir objectos, cabelos, fios, rendas, redes, ninhos… continuo a explorar limites, rasgando e esmagando objectos abro novos espaços e tento fixá-los no papel. Cabelos como a ligação entre interior/exterior, local de limites e por vezes de tensão entre o dentro e o fora. Fios, rendas, redes, ninhos como estruturas teias e tramas a serem abertas transformadas e fixadas. Ao recolher, ampliar e fragmentar imagems até ao desfazer da sua forma inicial exploro outros limites e transformações.
Estes são algums dos elementos e processos a que recorro repetidamente, sendo que a própria repetição é essencial pois é através dela que nas mesmas formas algo se transforma se vai modificando lentamente de forma subtil mas essencial,. No desenho existe também uma propagação da linha que invade uma superficie seja esta papel corpo ou objecto, abrindo novos espaços novos territorios alterando a função dos objectos e atribuindo-lhes outra espécie de poder.
No desenho sou atraida por toda a espécie de detalhes gosto de Olhar de perto, dar vida aos desenhos feitos por cabelos,pó,sombras,nuvems, vento, Plantas que furam por entre as pedras, água que escorre por entre as rachas da parede, aberturas criadas pela necessidade de respirar de propagar raízes, folhas, água entranhada e cuspida pela parede criando manchas e formas, criaturas viscosas que vivem nos interstícios, nas entrelinhas.
Procuro a ligação entre interior e exterior, tal como a pele do corpo a pele do desenho revela o que vém de dentro sendo a linha apenas a ligação entre mundos o desenho é feito entre territorios e é acedido através do olhar.
No trabalho de Shiatsu, recorrendo ao interesse pelo conhecimento oriental em que este está inserido e á ligação ao desenho enquanto processo e modo de observação do mundo exterior e interior, procuro estimular o corpo a ter a vontade de se desenhar a ele próprio, a abrir espaço e a procurar uma maior fluidez e ligação entre corpo, mente e espirito.
Respirar com o corpo todo, com todos os poros da pele, ver com a alma através do corpo, extende-la para além do corpo, trazer o mundo ao corpo e levar o corpo ao mundo. Ver e ser visto, olhar para o exterior como espelho do interior e servir de espelho para o mundo exterior.

I was born, live and work in Portugal.
Studied Art and printmaking at the university of fine arts in Lisbon and at Ar.co, centre of art and visual communication. Studied Shiatsu with Gill Hall, Paul Lundberg and Mercedes Nunez
I have been working with drawing, printmaking, illustration, education and shiatsu.
In my work I’m interested in exploring the “passage” from one state to the other, the process, the metamorphosis, the limits between the forming and the dissolving of the matter. Printmaking was essential in the development of my work for it works as a “cooking of processes”, in which the corrosion (the dissolving of a material) gives form to a drawing; the paint is deposited in the space where there no longer is matter.
The timing is also essential in this process, drawing with the help of time, the time of the corrosion, it is necessary to open enough space for the paint, but not too much or the drawing will dissolve.
By printing objects and blown up images, (hair, threads, lace, nests…) I keep exploring limits, ripping and squashing objects and images I open new spaces and try to fix them on paper. These are some of the elements and processes which I repeatedly make use of, being that the repetition in itself is essential for it is through it that in the same forms something is transformed; slowly keeps changing in a subtle but essential way. there is also the propagation of the line
In Drawing I’m attracted by all sort of intricate details, I like to look in, to give life to the forms made by hairs, bones dust, shadows, clouds, wind, plants that break through stones, water that runs in between the cracks of the walls, openings created by the need to breathe… the line propagates, it invades all surfaces: paper, concrete, skin… opening new spaces new territories, changing the function of the bodies and attributing them another kind of power.
I´m looking for the connection between interior and exterior, just as the skin of the body the skin of the drawing reveals what comes from within, the line being just a connection between worlds, the drawing is processed in between territories and is accessed through the eye.
In the work with Shiatsu, using my interest for the oriental knowledge in which it is integrated and the connection to drawing as a process and means of observation of the exterior and interior worlds, I intend to stimulate the body to have the will to draw itself, to open space and search for a better flow and connection between body mind and spirit.
Breathing with the whole body, with all the spurs of the skin, seeing with the soul through the body, extending it beyond the flesh, to bring the world to the body and the body to the world. To see and to be seen, looking at the exterior as a mirror of the interior and acting as a mirror to the exterior world.
